Being adaptable means to be willing to change according to a situation.
Sometimes a student’s homework assignment requires taking steps different from what you know or are comfortable with. Perhaps a teacher wants a complicated table worked out while you know a short cut. Teachers have a purpose beyond what we know – so go with what the assignment is. Being adaptable is setting your own preferences aside and being open the new, the different. And with that attitude, changing the way you do something is so much easier!
Tutors that are adaptable will always stay relevant.
Education is changing rapidly, not only in what is taught but how it’s taught. So, stay positive. Stay curious and your students will too. Keep a “you can do this” attitude with whatever comes your way.
Adaptability will help you meet the student’s needs and everyone wins.
